CFD Study of Aerodynamic Behavior and Emission Dispersion in Industrial Chimneys

INCIMAT carries out advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies to analyze the aerodynamic behavior and emission dispersion associated with industrial chimneys, enabling the assessment of the interaction between emitted gases and the atmospheric conditions of the surrounding environment.

These analyses allow the investigation of phenomena such as gas recirculation, the influence of nearby buildings and structures, wind effects on emission plumes, the potential re-entrainment of pollutants into adjacent facilities, and the spatial distribution of pollutant concentrations around the plant.

CFD models reproduce the actual geometry of industrial facilities with a high level of detail, incorporating process operating conditions and site-specific meteorological characteristics. This approach provides accurate information on emission behavior under a wide range of operating and environmental scenarios.

The results constitute a valuable engineering tool for the design and optimization of industrial chimneys, the environmental assessment of industrial facilities, regulatory compliance evaluations, and decision-making processes during both the engineering and operational phases of industrial plants.
