INCIMAT developed the conceptual structural design of a space frame roof for a bullring, with the objective of providing protection against weather conditions while preserving the functionality, visibility, and architectural value of the facility.
The scope of work included the assessment of different structural configurations, evaluating alternatives based on lightweight long-span space frame systems capable of covering large areas without interfering with the interior space or the spectators’ viewing experience.
During the development of the study, key aspects such as roof geometry, wind and snow loads, support systems, architectural integration with the existing structure, and construction and maintenance requirements were carefully analyzed.
Using advanced three-dimensional models, the overall behavior of the proposed solution was evaluated, verifying deformations, stability, and structural efficiency in order to optimize material usage and demonstrate the technical feasibility of the concept.
The result was a conceptual proposal capable of serving as the basis for subsequent detailed engineering phases, offering a lightweight, efficient, and technically viable structural solution tailored to the functional requirements of a large-capacity venue.
