INCIMAT carried out an atmospheric dispersion study of industrial emissions with the objective of evaluating the behavior of gases released by an industrial facility and their interaction with meteorological conditions and the surrounding environment.
The scope of work included the characterization of emission sources, plant operating conditions, the properties of the emitted gases, and the analysis of representative meteorological parameters at the site, such as wind speed and direction, atmospheric stability, and ambient temperature.
Using advanced simulation techniques, the trajectories of emission plumes, dispersion, dilution, and recirculation phenomena were analyzed, together with the influence of nearby buildings, surrounding structures, and terrain features on the behavior of pollutants.
The results enabled the identification of areas potentially most affected by emissions, the optimization of exhaust and discharge system configurations, and the evaluation of different operating scenarios for the facility.
The study provided a solid technical basis for decision-making related to chimney design, environmental control strategies, and the minimization of the environmental impact of industrial emissions on the surrounding area.
