INCIMAT conducted a thermal load analysis for an energy-efficient office building, evaluating the heating and cooling requirements necessary to ensure indoor comfort and optimize the performance of the building systems.
The work included a study of the building envelope, building orientation, glazed surfaces, projected occupancy, internal loads, ventilation, air infiltration, and outdoor climate conditions, with the goal of obtaining an accurate estimate of the building’s thermal demand.
Based on the analysis, thermal loads were determined by zone, allowing for the proper sizing of HVAC systems and avoiding oversizing that could increase investment costs, energy consumption, and maintenance expenses.
The study also identified the factors with the greatest influence on the building’s energy performance, facilitating the adoption of solutions aimed at improving efficiency, reducing energy demand, and increasing occupant comfort.
The result was a solid technical foundation for the design of efficient HVAC systems, tailored to the building’s actual needs and aligned with criteria for sustainability, energy savings, and indoor environmental quality.
