INCIMAT carried out the structural design of a pipe rack for a petrochemical complex, developing a load-bearing solution capable of supporting piping systems, cable trays, auxiliary equipment, and the operational loads associated with a demanding industrial facility.
The scope of work included the analysis of permanent loads, maintenance live loads, wind actions, thermal effects, potential pipe expansion, and the loads transmitted by the supported systems.
The overall behavior of the steel structure was evaluated, including columns, main beams, bracing systems, access platforms, connections, and foundations, verifying compliance with both ultimate limit states and serviceability limit states.
During the development of the project, particular attention was given to lateral stability, allowable deflections, compatibility with the piping layout, and ease of installation, operation, and maintenance.
The result was an optimized, safe, and functional structure tailored to the operational requirements of a petrochemical complex and designed to withstand the demanding service conditions of a modern industrial plant.
