Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan for an Existing Commercial Building

INCIMAT developed an energy efficiency plan for an existing commercial building, with the goal of reducing energy consumption, optimizing the operation of the facilities, and improving user comfort through the implementation of technically feasible and cost-effective measures.

The project began with a detailed analysis of the building’s current condition, evaluating the thermal envelope, HVAC, ventilation, lighting, and hot water systems, as well as usage patterns and recorded energy consumption.

Based on this assessment, various improvement scenarios were developed, including measures related to thermal insulation, replacement of windows and doors, modernization of equipment, optimization of control systems, incorporation of renewable energy, and improvements in the building’s energy management.

Using advanced energy simulations, the impact of each proposed measure was evaluated, quantifying potential energy savings, emissions reductions, and improvements in the building’s overall performance.

The result was a technical roadmap for the building’s energy retrofit, enabling the prioritization of investments and the maximization of the economic and energy returns from the proposed measures.
