Emission Plume Modeling Under Different Meteorological Conditions

INCIMAT carried out an emission plume modeling study to evaluate the behavior of gases released from an industrial facility under different meteorological and operational scenarios.

The scope of work included the characterization of emission sources, the physical properties of the emitted gases, discharge conditions, and the analysis of atmospheric parameters such as wind speed and direction, atmospheric stability, ambient temperature, and thermal gradients.

Using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, the trajectories of emission plumes were analyzed under multiple meteorological conditions, evaluating plume rise, dispersion, dilution, recirculation, and pollutant transport phenomena.

The results enabled the identification of the most unfavorable atmospheric dispersion scenarios, the assessment of the influence of meteorological conditions on emission behavior, and the optimization of gas exhaust and discharge systems.

The study provided valuable technical information for the environmental assessment of the facility, the optimization of chimney design, and the minimization of the impact of emissions on the surrounding environment.
