INCIMAT performed the calculation and sizing of deep-flange beams designed to transfer loads in a unique building, where the architectural and functional configuration required addressing significant changes in the arrangement of supports and structural members.
The work included analyzing the loads transmitted by the upper structure, defining the structural system, evaluating internal forces, and sizing the necessary reinforcement to ensure proper load transfer to the vertical support elements.
Due to the specific behavior of this type of element, special attention was paid to the push-pull mechanisms, stress concentration zones, supports, rebar anchors, cracking, and deformations.
