Design of Concrete Brackets for Supporting Precast Beams in an Industrial Building

INCIMAT developed the design and verification of short reinforced concrete cantilevers intended to support precast beams in an industrial building, ensuring the proper transfer of loads between the precast elements and the main structure.

The work included the analysis of the reactions transmitted by the beams, the geometric definition of the cantilevers, the sizing of the primary and secondary reinforcement, as well as the verification of the load-bearing mechanisms associated with this type of structural element.

During the project, the ultimate and serviceability limit states were verified, with special attention paid to shear forces, localized compression, reinforcement anchorage, cracking, and load transfer in areas of concentrated support.

The solution was designed taking into account structural, construction, and assembly criteria, ensuring compatibility with prefabricated elements and facilitating safe and efficient on-site execution.

The result was a robust and optimized support system, tailored to the needs of an industrial building with a prefabricated structure and designed to ensure safety, durability, and structural reliability.
