Conceptual Design of a Concentrated Solar Power Plant for Renewable Electricity Generation

INCIMAT developed the conceptual design of concentrated solar power (CSP) plants in Bolivia and Equatorial Guinea for renewable electricity generation, integrating solar energy collection systems, thermal energy storage, and efficient large-scale power production solutions.

The scope of work included the assessment of site conditions, the design of solar fields, the definition of heat transfer systems, thermal energy storage facilities, and power generation systems, as well as the overall layout of the associated infrastructure.

During the development of the project, key aspects such as collector orientation, overall energy performance, integration of thermal storage systems, and the arrangement of major equipment within the plant were optimized to maximize operational efficiency.

Using advanced engineering and modeling tools, coordination between disciplines was verified, including civil works, structural engineering, mechanical systems, piping networks, electrical installations, and auxiliary operational systems.

The result was an energy solution focused on maximizing renewable power generation, improving the operational efficiency of the facility, and ensuring the long-term technical and economic viability of the project throughout its service life.
