INCIMAT developed the design for a cantilever retaining wall intended to address the existing elevation differences on a logistics platform, ensuring the stability of the ground and the proper integration of the infrastructure within the site.
The work included an analysis of earth pressures, crown loads, forces resulting from the logistics use of the platform, and ground support conditions. Based on this data, the geometry of the wall, the footing, the elevation, and the necessary reinforcement were designed to ensure adequate structural performance.
During the project’s development, the limit states for equilibrium, sliding, overturning, settlement, and structural resistance were verified, with special attention paid to drainage conditions and the durability of reinforced concrete against environmental exposure.
The proposed solution safely addressed the elevation change, optimized the volume of concrete and steel used, and facilitated the construction of the logistics platform without compromising the functionality of the traffic, maneuvering, and storage areas.
The result was a robust, efficient retaining system tailored to the operational needs of a modern logistics infrastructure.
